Walks shaped around a routine

The first conversation is about the dog, the equipment and the neighbourhood, before a walking arrangement is made.

From the footpath

Before the lead comes off the hook.

A thoughtful walking plan includes equipment, weather and the moments between the door and the footpath.

Prepare the handover

Check that the agreed harness or collar fits and that the lead and clips are in usable condition. Identification and registration requirements should be kept current by the owner. Let us know about changes in medication, recent illness or a new sensitivity before a walk is arranged.

Let conditions shape the outing

A familiar route may need to change on a hot or smoky day. Pavement temperature, shade, water access and the dog’s condition matter alongside the weather forecast. We discuss a contingency in advance rather than treating a booked duration as a reason to continue in unsuitable conditions.

About

The small observations belong in the routine.

A change in pace, an uncomfortable clip or a busy corner can alter an ordinary walk. We make room for the information owners already know and keep the service focused on attentive, agreed neighbourhood walking.

Questions

Questions before the first stroll

Are these group dog walks?

The main service is an individual neighbourhood walk. A household with more than one dog needs a separate discussion of handling and suitability. We do not add unfamiliar dogs to an individual booking.

Do you provide training during the walk?

No. We follow agreed familiar cues and handling instructions. Behaviour modification and clinical concerns require the appropriate professional. Share relevant history so we can decide whether the walking service fits your dog.

What happens in very hot weather?

We follow the agreed weather contingency, which may change the time, route or duration or mean a walk does not proceed. Shade, surface temperature and the individual dog matter; completing a route never takes priority over the conditions.
